If you approach this book as if it was your actual project, you'll find the experience prepares you for the process in a way that just viewing floor plans online won't. While there's certainly value in browsing home designs, decisions that seem simple on the surface end up having an outsized effect on your final design.
While this can be approached in a serious, linear decision-making fashion, there's no reason you can't make it more experimental and fun. Feel free to turn back to a previous section to find a different path towards a home plan.
